About Shahar and the evenings lecture:

Consul Azani has arrived in Los Angeles to assume the position of Consul for Culture, Media and Public Affairs and lectures on behalf of the State of Israel in seven western States including Hawaii.

Shahar has previously worked in the Israeli Foreign Ministry; in London as the spokesperson at the Israeli Embassy and in Africa as Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Kenya. In Kenya, he represented Israel at various U.N. agencies in east Africa and dealt with crisis problems in Darfur and Somalia, playing a part in enhancing Israel's collaboration with the U.N. in Africa, focusing on benefiting developing countries.

Using his experience, Shahar will show us the bright side of Israel, the side that is often not reported on in the World Media today.
