Shavuot Late Night Presenting: The Central Tenets of Jewish Belief On Thursday night, May 21, we will be celebrating the holiday of Shavuot - the anniversary of the giving of the Torah. It is customary to stay up late and study Torah on the first evening of Shavuot in preparation for reading of the Ten Commandments the next morning. At the JCC, we will once again prepare for the Ten Commandments with our annual Shavuot late night program on the first evening of the Shavuot, Thursday, May 21 starting at 11pm. Members of the community will speak about this year's Shavuot Late Night theme, which will be "The Central Tenets of Jewish Belief."
