Clearly defined, color-coded levels make it very clear to students where they stand, and what they need to learn in order to advance to the next level. The competition is motivating. The clarity is great for teachers, students and parents. The kids end up practicing at home and begging to be tested!

Aleph Champ For Hebrew Reading

Focuses the Students on Hebrew Reading & Writing, guiding them from the basic building blocks of letter recognition through letter/vowel combinations and rule exceptions.

White: Master the first 18 letters of the Aleph Bet

Red: Master the first 32 letters of the Aleph Bet

Orange: Master the first 3 vowels with letter combinations

Yellow: Master the first 6 vowels with letter combinations

Green: Master the first 9 vowels with letter combinations

Blue: Master all the vowels and exceptions to the rules

Purple: Master reading basic prayers and writing in Hebrew Script

Brown: Master reading higher level prayers

Gray: Master reading from the Siddur in a timed fashion

Black: Master reading over 100 words a minute

Aleph Champ For Jewish Prayers & Songs

Focuses the Students on Performing Prayers from the Synagogue and Torah Services, extending their knowledge of how the Hebrew language operates, including introducing key vocabulary words, while exploring the personal meaning of these Prayers.

White: Master the basic early Morning Prayers

Red: Master the Shema and other (shorter) higher level Morning Prayers

Orange: Master the Blessings on Food

Yellow: Master the Blessings for Holiday Rituals

Green: Master the Blessings surrounding the Torah Service

Blue: Master the Blessings surrounding the Shabbat Service & Dinner including the Kiddush.

Purple: Master the Amidah’s opening and concluding Blessings

Brown: Master the 2nd part of the Shema and other (longer) higher level Morning Prayers

Gray: Master additional higher level Prayers for special occasions

Black: Master reading your Bar / Bat Mitzvah Portion
